Brief 1 Rini aan Mary

Hey Mary, 

Nice to read your letter. I recognized the project last month. Didn’t expect to participate, but sounds fun to get in touch.

I am Rini, 38 year old and living in the Netherlands since 2014. The first time I visited AMOC was in 2015. I decided to make a new start in the Netherlands, Amsterdam, and left my home country after I was I was earning good money in Switzerland, with only 300 euro in my pocket. Coffeeshops, freedom and the positive spirit Dutch people have were my motivation. Making music, graffiti and anyhow cultural stuff, art and reading books are things I always like to do.

What I like about the country is people can talk something like three languages in average and also meeting people from different countries. I don’t speak Spanish, like you, but I do speak German. Actually I don’t have many conversations in this neighbourhood, but this project is interesting to get in touch while I’m homeless.

Otherway I’m chilling in the Sarphatipark, I like de Pijp but other areas are also fun. I don’t walk in the city center very much. That is a bit stressfull to me. I hang out in front of a metrostation to offer graffiti.
