Damian to Ilva

Hello, 

My name is Damian and I'm from Poland. I've come to Holland in 2018 for a season work with flowers in glass houses. The work went good but it was only a couple of weeks and after finishing working there I decided to come in Amsterdam.

After a while my money got finished, but I still don't want to go back home. Then I discover the homeless shelter called AMOC. You can google it, it's a very cool place, they give this home feeling and help with many things like shower, clothing, food and shelter.I've got help from them with finding a job and accommodation and it was good for some time being, but corona virus messed up all my things, like working in a restaurant because of quarantine.

So I end up on street again and from there go only worse. I got addicted to heavy drugs and I'm still very deep hold up to them, every day I try to quit but I'm still struggling with it. AMOC is a big help, they provide support which I needed it most and arranging for me necessary medication like methadone, which is necessary to quit heroin. It's a very painful procedure but I don't give up so easy.

I will never lose hope for a better tomorrow

Basically it is the end of my sad story and even though my struggle is huge, I will never lose hope for a better tomorrow and don't give up.
