Brief 1 Sana aan Carlos

Dear Carlos,

Nice to meet you too. My name is Sana. I am 28 years old and was born and raised in Rotterdam. I have been living in Amsterdam for 11 years now. Really enjoying the city.
You wrote in your kind letter that you are a calm person just like me. People at work or my friends consider me very calm and balanced. It is a great compliment for me, you know.
I also consider myself spiritual as well. I did a study in Theology and Religion in which I focused mostly on atheism. You see, in a country as the Netherlands it is quite common not to adhere to a specific faith. But in other parts of the world religion or spirituality is a big part of culture and life. My parents were raised catholic and protestant. They did not raise me and my sister in either of both’s Christianities. When we were younger we would go to the Catholic Church with Christmas and Easter which I very much enjoyed. But they never forced us to believe anything specific.
